Present work
What BPDA is doing now.
A writ petition has been filed before the Honourable High Court to secure BPDA members' right to practise their profession with dignity at district and upazila level across the country. Following on from this, timely training — including the 'Certificate in Telemedicine Management (CTM)' — is being given to medical technologists/technicians (dental), pharmacists, physiotherapists and rural, primary and diploma health workers, in line with the BMDC telemedicine guideline. Through this trained workforce, GP centres, sub-GP centres and community telemedicine centres are run nationwide as joint ventures.
BPDA also works tirelessly to make telemedicine services more dynamic and widespread across the country. Our main initiatives include:
-
1
Expanding healthcare through agreements
Joint operations with hospitals, diagnostic centres, clinics, dental chambers and physiotherapy centres through Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with BPDA.
-
2
Skilled staff and new centres
Setting up BPDA-run telemedicine and GP centres at these partnered institutions, combining skilled doctors, nurses, medical technologists and ambulance services.
