About BPDA

Bangladesh Para-Medical Doctors Association (BPDA)

A trusted name in bringing modern, quality healthcare to the grassroots.

Vision & Mission

The responsibility to advance in skill is yours; the responsibility to value your hard work rightly is ours.

Our core goal is to bring better healthcare to the doorstep of people in the remote and grassroots areas of the country. Alongside that, we work to expand technology-based telemedicine services and to ensure skilled human resources and professional security by training entrepreneurs in the health sector.

With this slogan in front of us, BPDA has brought the ground-breaking 'BPDA FMS software'. Our central aim is to make every member who uses BPDA telemedicine skilled through up-to-date training, and to double their income compared with before. Using this software opens a vast opportunity to earn from new fields, including the medicine trade, without any start-up capital.

Special benefits for our members

  • Extra income and standing without capital

Using information technology and social media, members can join BPDA's organisational work from their own business premises — raising their social standing and creating extra income, with no investment.

  • A share of profits from partner institutions

Members holding posts on regular committees receive a share of profits from institutions under MoU with BPDA, without any investment.

  • Recognition of honest, capable leadership

In recognition of drive, honesty and capable leadership in organisational work, members may receive a share of profits from institutions run from the organisation's own fund or in which it has been given shares.

  • Travel abroad and advanced training

Regular-committee members who reach 'Gold' are given advanced training and travel outside the country, fully funded by the organisation.

Stay connected with BPDA, build your skills and secure your future.

Our journey and history

BPDA began its journey as a professional organisation on 1 October 2006. Since its founding it has worked tirelessly to raise the quality of the health sector.

  • COVID-19 and telemedicine

As the first and only professional organisation in the country to do so, BPDA launched telemedicine services during the pandemic and stood beside the public by providing free PPE to its members.

  • Skills development and entrepreneurship

To create new, successful entrepreneurs in the private health sector, BPDA registered under BIDA and ESDP (registration no. 855230).

  • Training and international cooperation

Besides providing legal support for the operation of the Saidpur Filaria Hospital, BPDA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UK-run Lepra Bangladesh to build members' professional skills. Short- and long-term professional training is delivered under it.

Registration & accreditation

BPDA conducts all of its activities in line with government rules and guidelines:

  1. 'BPDA Health Education Training and Technology Limited' is registered with the RJSC (registration no. C-179745/2022), in accordance with the BMDC Telemedicine Guideline 2020, the Communicable Diseases (Prevention, Control and Eradication) Act 2018, the Community Clinic Health Support Trust Act 2018 and the Online Training Guideline 2021.
  2. The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) — Prime Minister's Office — approved and registered 'BPDA HETTL' as a full industrial project (registration no. L-20220403006082-H). Under it, BPDA holds full rights to operate hospitals, diagnostics, telemedicine and health-education technology training in all 64 districts.

Professional protection and a historic High Court milestone

BPDA is committed to the rights and professional protection of its members. To prevent unwarranted harassment of health workers attached to BPDA telemedicine centres by administrative officials and the press, and so they can practise safely, a historic writ petition was filed before the Honourable High Court.

  • Writ petition and rule

On the joint application of the BPDA chairman and four BMDC-registered MBBS and BDS doctors, the writ named 208 government officials as respondents, including the ministry concerned, the Director General, the Deputy Commissioners of 64 districts, Civil Surgeons and Drug Superintendents.

  • The High Court's direction

The Honourable High Court issued a rule upon the 208 officials to show cause why telemedicine services should not be fully implemented at district and upazila level.

Our current work and network

In light of the High Court writ, BPDA is building a coordinated nationwide network to bring modern healthcare to people at every level. Through joint partnerships (Corporate / MoU) we are implementing:

  • GP & Sub-GP Centers
  • Community Telemedicine Centers
  • Dental chambers, physiotherapy centres, diagnostics, clinics and hospital connections
  • Health training centres and institutes
  • Coordination with individuals and organisations providing ambulance services
