Saidpur Filariasis and General Hospital and Lab (World’s First Established Filariasis Hospital)

This is a specialized hospital, a training, research, and telemedicine center focused on health education technology (a subsidiary of BPDA Health Education Training and Technology Limited).

Located in Saidpur Upazila, Nilphamari District, Rangpur Division, this is the world’s first established filariasis hospital. It was established with the cooperation of the Japanese government, Canadian CIDA, and the Ministry of Health, and is included in the AOP of the Bangladesh government’s HNPSP. It has previously signed agreements with various ministries and directorates, including the Line Director CDC of the Directorate General of Health Services. The institution is recognized internationally through inspection and observation by the World Health Organization. Currently, the hospital is operated as a subsidiary of BPDA Health Education Training and Technology Limited.
