
MS Gynae, MD Chest, MSS Sociology theses are being conducted by various post graduate students in the world’s first established filaria hospital. The MS Gynecology student’s research was conducted on preventing infertility by detecting anti-sperm antibodies in husband and wife’s semen and blood.

In collaboration with James Cook University, Australia, a study titled Development of Rapid Assessment Tools for Impact Quantification of LF Related Disability was completed. A student from Australia has done his PhD under this research.
A study on diagnosis of Ucheria bancrofti infection using ‘ILSA for the urine’ sample and its application in Bangladesh has been completed in collaboration with Aichi Medical University, Japan. A student from Japan did his PhD under this research.
A joint study on disease control of filariasis in Bangladesh was completed with CNTD Liverpool, UK.
A study titled Disease Control in Filariasis was completed. This research was done in collaboration with the institute and the University of Tsukuba in Japan. A student from Japan did his MPH under this research.
A study on eco-health – climate change and health – was completed at the hospital with Professor Kazuhiko Moji as team leader at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature RIHN Kyoto Japan. .
